This Parador is named after the Kings of Spain who spent hundreds of years fighting the Moor invaders. This war was helped by the church to bring back the country under Christian rule after many years of Muslim control..In these modern troubled times, it is worthy of note that, during the many centuries of occupation by the Moors, All the Muslims, Jews and Christians lived together in harmony bringing great wealth to the area.

Most people come to enjoy the beach and the tranquil Mediterranean sea which is a perfect area for swimming, diving, and fishing.
Nearby, you can visit the Almanzora caves to look at the formations formed by centuries of dripping water,
Other like to travel to the Cape of Gata and the Alpujarra region of Almeria whilst others go to the naturist beaches of Vera.
This Parador has seventy eight twin bedded rooms, eleven rooms with a double bed and nine single rooms.

| The Parador is located on the Mojacar beach, 1.5 km from the town, 5 km from Garrucha, 16 km from Vera and 18 km from the dual carriageway exit. Coming from Murcia along the Autovia del Mediterraneo, access is by the Vera junction towards Garrucha, and from there along the beach road. From Almerķa, take the Los Gallardos exit towards Turre and Mojacar. The hotel is located 90 km from Almeria, the capital of the province. |
